THE HISTORY OF KAY'S
FOUNDING
Kay's Salon was founded in 1981 by Kay Brunette. Kay had been working in the industry since 1960, and had developed long lasting connections with a loyal client base. This legacy of consistent care & returning customers has lived on to this day!
Kay's daughter Christine owned & operated the salon from 2010 to early 2026. Christine carried on Kay's amazing work behind the chair, as well as the salon's dedication to the broader community.
Christine was the State President of the National Cosmetology Association from 2000-2006 & emphasized the importance of continual learning & advancement within the industry.
PASSING OF THE TORCH
Today
Today Kay's on the 314 is locally owned & operated by Laurie Ahrens-O'Laire. Laurie had worked alongside Kay & Christine since 2006. Laurie is happy to be carrying on such a strong & well-known legacy in the Neenah Community. Maintaining relationships, and keeping clients who travel more than an hour to receive the care & style they know they can depend on. Although the building & aesthetic may change, the passion and love that began with Kay is still at the foundation of this Salon.
